THE LENNON SISTERS: SAME SONG, SEPARATE VOICES RETURNS TO PUBLIC TELEVISION!

This joyful and exuberant song-filled career retrospective, which originally aired in 2011, has been newly updated with alternate music and comedy performances in commemoration of the 65th anniversary of the Lennon Sisters television debut. They first charmed the nation with their sweet-voiced harmonies in the pioneering days of live television and grew up in front of America. Across two decades, 30 million television viewers tuned in every week to watch the Lennon Sisters perform.

Vocal Hall of Fame Inductees Dianne, Peggy, Kathy, Janet and Mimi share their inspirational journey as sisters through the intimate highs and lows of their lives in show business; from their early days on the Welk Show to their controversial break from him; from the headline grabbing 1969 murder of their father by a deranged fan, to working with Andy Williams on his weekly variety show and in concert at Caesar’s Palace for nearly a decade.

THE LENNON SISTERS: SAME SONG, SEPARATE VOICES contains musical performances of “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” “S’ Wonderful,” “Come Saturday Morning,” “Heather on the Hill,” “In My Life,” “L-O-V-E,” “You Go to My Head,” “Bluesette,” “Love In a Home,” “Somewhere,” “One Less Bell to Answer,” and many more highlighting the Lennon Sisters iconic and intricate familial harmonies. The special is highlighted by archival footage of the Lennon Sisters and special guests such as Andy Williams, Jimmy Durante, Jack Benny, Gregory Hines, Desi Arnaz and more.

This heartfelt and nostalgic celebration of the singing quartet features rare never-before-seen family home movies, plus commentary from their friends and colleagues Kathie Lee Gifford and Andy Williams, in one of his final television interviews.

THE LENNON SISTERS: SAME SONG, SEPARATE VOICES begins airing on public television and PBS stations on November 28th. Additional airdates and cities are continually being added; please check your local listings.

About Us

As one of the most acclaimed, admired and longest performing female vocal groups in popular music, THE LENNON SISTERS are entertainment icons who have captivated audiences with their legendary harmonies throughout a dazzling 65 year career!

First finding success as singing television stars when they were mere children ranging in ages from 9 to 16, The Lennon Sisters literally grew up in the public eye and rose to fame as recording artists, and vibrant live performers throughout the United States. They are honored to be the only female vocal group to have performed for seven United States’ Presidents - Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, and Reagan. They have a star on the world famous Hollywood Walk of Fame, and are inductees in the National Vocal Group Hall of Fame.

The Lennon Sisters are showcased in the  PBS television special Same Song, Separate Voices. Three newly remastered CD & digital collections of their classic recordings have been released in conjunction with the newly updated special, and memorabilia chronicling their career is on view at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History in Washington D.C.
